Hailing from the mid-west, Kenny found his way to the warm waters of Wilmington’s coast in 2008. He gained a bachelor’s degree in Film Studies from UNCW in 2012 and has been working in the film industry ever since. Kenny’s love for cinematography, documentary filmmaking and narrative realism is what drives him to shoot amazing films for Life Stage.

1. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Drivers who turn without a turn signal.

2. Who is your hero?
A few would be my parents, Anthony Bourdain, and cinematographer Chris Doyle.

3. What would we find in your refrigerator right now?
Lots of seafood, Coca-cola, and Almond Milk.

4. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 things would you want to have with you?
A tempurpedic pillow, my ipod, and a pet Sloth (so I don’t get lonely).

5. If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play the lead role as you?
Garey Busey, but if I want the movie to get an Oscar then Daniel Day-Lewis.

6. If you could be a superhero, what superpower would you have?
Manipulation of time.

7. If you had only six months left to live, what would you do with the time?
Either try to make an amazing movie with the money available or travel around Japan.

8. If you won $20 million in the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Make a movie.

9. What is your favorite thing about your job?
I love capturing the small intimate and funny moments that no one typically sees.
